Meet the soul behind our brand!

Laura and Jay Wilkerson were born and raised right here in Northeast Florida. Laura is from Fernandina Beach and worked for the Golf Club at Amelia Island and The Ritz-Carlton for almost 20 years. She then joined Robyn Branch Design where she pursued her passion for interior design. Jay is from Jacksonville and grew up designing and installing office furniture systems for his father's (and later his own) company. He sold that company in 2002 and has worked for the past 20 years in residential real estate and new home custom construction. They founded Burbank Design Studio and Florida Custom Closets after repeatedly seeing how much remodelers and national franchises charged for their kitchen, bath, laundry room and custom closets. With Laura's wonderful design ideas and Jay's experience in assembling furniture systems, space planning and custom home building, they knew they could do it better and for less money!
